From 15 to 400 in 6 years
Hearts of Teddlothian Football Club was founded in 2005 and was centered around the playing field of Broom Road in Teddington.
Having grown year-on-year the Club quickly grew to 50 children then effectively doubled in size for 2 years running before adding 100 new players each year over the past 2 years. Having grown our Girls teams from a standing start in the past 2 years, the Girls now represent 10% of the Club and we also have representation through the senior and veteran ranks. Mini soccer starts at the U6 to U10 age groups with the Juniors represented from U11 through to U17.
The Club’s aim is to provide the opportunity for youths and adults of all abilities to play competitive football in a safe, controlled, and friendly environment.
In 2009 Hearts FC was granted FA Charter Standard Club status. In 2010 we moved affiliation from Surrey FA to Middlesex FA (affiliation number JJC00433).
At the start of the 2010 season we relocated our Saturday morning training from Broom Road to the huge grounds at Twickenham Rugby Club and enjoy the hospitality of their facilities – bar, restaurant, changing rooms, big screen TV, …
All teams have FA Qualified coaches who carry at least one Level 1 FA Coaching Certification, have attended First Aid & Child Protection workshops and have been through CRB verification. Today we have nearly 30 teams and over 400 players. Our U8 teams and above play mini and youth level football in the Tadworth Primary, Epsom & Ewell and East Berkshire Leagues.
We encourage everyone involved with the Club – players, coaches, parents, and spectators – to help us ensure the football is competitive, challenging, and most importantly enjoyable. Training is offered to all volunteers that are interested in becoming a coach, manager or other vital helpers at the club. In June 2011 we ran our own FA Level training course which was attended by 20 parents.
We welcome players of all abilities at the club although as a measure of our success we often have waiting lists for many of our age groups.

The Club is run by volunteers and managed by a committee of experienced and enthusiastic parents.
